• What data is recorded during the creation of my account with my email address, and is it protected?

If you create a DELSEY PLUGGAGE user account, this will authorise the saving of the following data: your email address and alias, the date of creation of the account and last synchronisation, the references and status of the electronic components ( should support or after-sales be required), the photo of your case and your account. This data is managed in compliance with Law No. 78-17 of 6 January 1978, relating to Information Technology, Files and Civil Liberties. You can find the details of this policy within the General Conditions and the Privacy Policy, via the Menu of your application.
  • Is the connection with my smartphone secure?

The connection to your lock is secure - you have to know the correct Bluetooth password and the encryption key for all communication with it. The connection to your scale is not secure, however, a disconnection strategy for valid smartphones has been put in place.
  • Is there lithium in the PLUGGAGE?

No, there is no lithium in the scale or the lock, provided you only use alkaline batteries as instructed. We recommend that you check the specifications of your personal power bank and carry it with you in the cabin when travelling by plane. The DELSEY powered by LUGLOC tracker contains less than 8 Wh of lithium, which is compliant with and significantly lower than the quantity stated in the FAA and IATA regulations (100 Wh). Consult the FAQs and the LUGLOC website for more information on the tracker.
  • Is my suitcase waterproof? Resistant to external conditions?

Your suitcase is resistant to rain, snow and salt. However, traces of water may appear in your suitcase in the event of heavy rain, however, this will not affect its function. In some cases it may be necessary that you wait for your suitcase to dry out before the full display of your scale's LCD display is functional again. The operating temperatures are between -10°C and 40°C. Outside of this range, you case may continue to function, but its performance may be impaired. We advise against using the handle of your scale outwith this temperature range, and this will preserve the accuracy of your scale, even after several years of use.
  • Is my suitcase compliant with airline standards and for travelling in the hold?

Yes, the alkaline batteries installed in your PLUGGAGE suitcase do not contain lithium. What's more, the suitcase stops transmitting when the connection with your smartphone is dropped, and/or if you have set it to sleep/aeroplane mode. We recommend that you check the specifications of your personal power bank and carry it with you in the cabin when travelling by plane. Consult the FAQs and the LUGLOC website for more information on the tracker.
  • Can I use my PLUGGAGE anywhere in the world?

Yes, since the connection technology used between the PLUGGAGE and your smartphone is Bluetooth Low Energy. The DELSEY powered by LUGLOC tracker does not work in countries in which the network of 2G antenna have been completely removed, such as Singapore, Japan, Taiwan or South Korea. Consult the FAQ and the LUGLOC website for more information on the tracker.

  • Which quality tests are performed?

Your suitcase passes all of the quality tests required by Delsey for all of its cases (resistance to use, to rolling, to falls...). What's more, the electronic components have been tested using DELSEY tests, to ensure their resistance to sever conditions of use while travelling. Furthermore, tests specific to the electronics industry have been performed: tests in a thermal chamber (while in operation, while in storage and subject to thermal shocks), resistant to ambient humidity (very dry and very humid), to vibrations, to shocks, to rain, to salt, strength of the Bluetooth connectivity and of the various sensors.
