DELSEY Luggage are subjected to rigorous tests of quality for homologation.

 

serrures Locks must be able to withstand being opened and closed 15,000 times, the equivalent of 5 years’ normal everyday use.
roues Wheels are made to carry fully loaded luggage over 64 kilometres of abrasive surfaces and obstacles.
The shells : the loaded suitcase is placed one metre above the ground. It is then dropped in 14 different places 3 times in succession - producing a total of 42 impacts.
chute A fully loaded case is subjected to 8 full rotations inside a drum, producing the equivalent of 48 random impacts.
poignées The shoulder and carry straps are tested by being raised/lowered several thousand times.

Buckle and metal parts finishes are subjected to extreme corrosive and weather conditions to test resistance to rust.

Fabrics have to pass tear resistance tests.
